Contextualization of Hadith about Tolerance for Religious and Cultural Diversity

This study aims to understand the contextualization of hadith regarding tolerance religious and cultural diversity with a focus on meaning text, historical context at time Prophet hadiths . Data analysis was in form content analysis. It found that first, there were six editorials using word samaha which means compassion, generosity is equated patient. Second, prophet's attitude recorded building pluralist society forgiveness, good prejudice, recognizing other religions cooperate each other. Third, basic concept Islam must be based principles living harmony, peace prioritizing spirituality humanity ignoring group subjectivity.
